According to police, a woman was attempting to cross Thomas Road midblock when she was hit by a vehicle. She was taken to a local hospital, where she later died.
The police have identified the 56-year-old male driver. He drove a short distance after the collision but eventually pulled over. According to Sgt. Alan Pfohl, the driver showed several signs of impairment.
